Indoor Air Quality
Indoor Air Quality Services
Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Services includes the following:
- Baseline Evaluations
- Source Assessment
- Remedial Design
- Mold Evaluation/Remedial Plans
We provide a forensic approach to indoor air quality issues. Personnel utilize state-of-the-art equipment and techniques to locate and identify potential sources of airborne contaminants, and to recommend appropriate corrective actions. They are experienced in the identification, recognition and abatement of various indoor air quality issues, such as, microbial contamination, volatile organic compounds, asbestos, comfort factors (such as carbon dioxide, temperature and relative humidity), carbon monoxide, nuisance dust, formaldehyde, various chemical contaminants, ventilation issues, water intrusion, mold, odors, etc.
Our typical approach to indoor air quality issues includes: interviews with the buildings occupants to identify common compliant and operation practices, reviewing HVAC and building design plans, and developing, if appropriate, sampling strategies to delineate the source(s) of the problems. Experience indicates that most causes of indoor air quality complaints are rooted within deficiencies in the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems within a building, or due to water intrusion from various sources. Personnel seek to find the causes of indoor air quality issues in the most expedient, cost-conscious manner possible, generally through the use of direct reading instrumentation which provides real-time measurements. This approach allows us to identify sources of air quality problems while at the site, leading to a more effec
